Sande Ace Rendezvous 2019

First, lightening and heavy rain.  Then, just heavy rain in the morning of the 15th Ace Day.  We bailed out for the first time in 15 get-togethers.  Here are some pictures of the sogginess.

Looking over the brand new 13-foot Ace that Dean built over a two year period.

Ned has always wondered where the Hamlin family's Sande Ace ended up after it was sold in the 1960s.  He had a sneaky hunch that Bob's Ace was indeed the original Hamlin Ace.

Since it was raining, Ned had plenty of time to go over Bob's Ace.  Voila!  Ned found damage on the port side of the bow.  This is exactly what the Hamlin Ace once received when it was used on Hood Canal.

Ned's looking for the damage to his Ace from the 1960s.

Ned now knows where the Hamlin Ace ended up!
