Sande Ace Rendezvous 2022

Things were a little more normal for the 2022 Ace Rendezvous.  We met at Twanoh State Park where 8 boats showed up, all Aces! Roy, Ned, Bob and Ed had original Sande Aces.  Tom, Jack, Bill and Dean had their beautiful, more recently built Aces.   Of these, 7 got in the water!

The parking lot is a great place to inspect the boats since they are higher when they are sitting on trailers.

Dr. Frankenmerc himself (Thom Adams) attended the show and is seen here looking over
Bill's Ace with its Mark 58A that Frankenmerc brought back to a beautiful life.  See it below.

Mercury produced its motors in Cloud White from 1959 to 1963 (with a few exceptions).

Waiting for others to launch can be hard especially with water like that.
Ned & Brad, Bob and Roy wait on glassy smooth Hood Canal.

Instead of rafting out in the bay for lunch, we decided to tie up at Alderbrook's dock and eat our picnic lunches.  It was great.  A lot of people came by to talk and we could say we had lunch at Alderbrook!

Here's Linda in the Waali boat.

The Waali Sande Ace had been in the water at their place and was tied up to the Twanoh dock at the Boat Show.  He forgot to take any pictures of it there so here's one of it at the Waali place!
