Ned Hamlin's Sande Ace Model

          Ned built a 1:8 scale, balsa wood model of his own Sande Ace.  This 19 1/2 inch boat matches the scale of the 1957 Mercury Mark 55 model which was produced by Alterscale.

         The detail brings back the wonderful 1950s.  Ned made or devised the dual handle controls, steering wheel, Merc gas can, speedometer and bow hardware.  Look in the forward cockpit to find the Wally Burr waterskis and the paddle.
