Bill's Ace Model
Hull Number "7201" (1st Ace built in July, 2020!)


Bill Whitney made a beautiful model of an Ace with a 1957 Mercury Mark 55. He made a single cockpit boat but not in the wide open configuration the Sande's made. This one is a sport model with a long forward deck.

He was inspired by Ned's model. This one is also a 1/8 scale, 13 foot Ace, but with some changes:

-The rear seat was moved foreword 18 scale inches.   
-There is no front seat, with that area decked over.      
-The front deck slopes down slightly towards the nose.

Bill knows there has never been a real Ace like this, but there almost was. When building their real Ace, he considered this but "chickened out."

He says if this was a real boat, it would go close to 60 MPH with a Merc 1000.......just thinking.
