Rendezvous 2012
Tom Regan took most of these movies at the Twanoh parking lot and on the water from his Ace at the
2012 Ace Rendezvous. If you want to see the Aces in action on glassy smooth water, check out the 2008 movies below.

Ed Waali's father used Shell 2-cycle oil in 1959 on the Sande's strong recommendation even though he had Chevron gas and oil at Waali's Grocery. Ed talks here about the gas:oil ratio.

The Matthews' 1954 10-HP Johnson sounds really nice.

First, Ned heads back to Twanoh, then Tom and Pennie returned and were followed by Roy. Ed can't figure out why he didn't get a video of Bob doing the same.

Ned and Bob show the time-honored technique for getting an Ace up on a plane. In the old days, the passenger might have been sprawled across the forward deck when starting a slalom skier from a deep water start!

Rendezvous 2008
These movies were taken from the Regan's Ace in 2008. Great shots Susanne!
We gathered at Twanoh State Park, crusied to Alderbrook Resort and returned to the Waali place via
the North Shore. The water looks like liquid mercury, appropriate considering the old Mercury outboards in use!
Some of the files are large but hang in there for the download and join us for the cruise.

Sande Ace Race 2005
The first gathering of Sande Aces in recent times occurred in the summer of 2005 on Hood Canal. Ned and Ed raced their boats, each equipped with a 45 HP Cloud White Merc. Ned (closer to the camera) clearly won the first Ace Race in 30 years or more.
