The plans for the original 12-foot Ace published in The Boat Builder's Handbook are available online on the Svenson website.
Ed and Ned also have hard copies of the Handbook with the original plans from EBay. It was a cold snowy night in Montana when Ed noticed something.
- Ed and Ned's hard copy plans (on left) start on page 9.
- The Svenson online plans (on right) start on page 65.
- And the first page headings for the two sources are different.
This is not a big deal but one can ponder it instead of shoveling snow. Could the Svenson copy come from a "Best of Plans" issue? The Ace would surely belong there!
If you have a hard copy of the Boat Builder's Handbook with the Ace, please let Ed know the starting page. He'll bet if it's the yellow cover issue that Ed and Ned have, it's page 9. Ed is really interested in seeing any copy where the plans start on page 65.
