The Parks Family Sande Ace.

Bob Parks' family had a 1957 open cockpit Sande Ace which they used at their cabin at Nelson's Cove on Bald Point of Hood Canal.  Here's the only photo that Bob has been able to dig up.  The picture from 1960 shows Bob's mother (Madonna), father (Bob Sr.), sister (Nancy) and brother John, who attended the 2014 Ace Rendezvous.  Click here to see great movies of their Ace.

Bob Rebuilds Four Aces.

Bob Parks has been super effective in ferreting out Sande Aces and has rebuilt four of these classic plywood runabouts!  The first was half-rotten.  He brought it back to superb condition and showed it off in the water at the 2010 Rendezvous.

Bob later sold that Ace after acquiring a second.  This one seemed to need less work but.....

Bob then bought John Baisch's Sande Ace which was in very good shape.  It had been modified for center console steering so Bob brought it back to the original double cockpit configuration.

Most recently, Bob rebuilt a 12-foot, open cockpit Sande Ace.  Click on the pictures below to see his work.
